£12.71 per hour
Part-Time Position – 18 hours per week

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Laundry Assistant to join a friendly residential care home in Dawlish. You will play an important role in ensuring residents’ clothing and linen are cleaned, well‑maintained, and returned to a high standard.

• Washing, drying, ironing, and folding residents’ clothing and linen
• Ensuring all laundry is handled with care and returned correctly
• Operating laundry equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the laundry area
• Sorting and organising laundry items appropriately
• Supporting infection control procedures and care home standards
• Reporting any damaged or missing items

• Previous experience in laundry, housekeeping, or care home environment desirable (not essential)
• Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
• Good attention to detail
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control standards (or willingness to learn)
• Friendly and respectful approach when working around residents’ belongings

• £12.71 per hour
