Reablement Worker – Competitive Pay £13.80 – £14.30 per hour

Location:

26 The Strand, South Devon.

Altogether Care, a trusted family‑run care company, is expanding its reablement team and is looking for compassionate, energetic individuals to support clients in their own homes.

Hours and Shift Patterns
  • Morning and evening shifts – full‑time or part‑time – including alternate weekend work with weekdays off when applicable.
  • Morning‑only shifts – full‑time or part‑time – including alternate weekend work.
  • Evening‑only shifts – full‑time or part‑time – including alternate weekend work.
  • Weekend‑only positions covering mornings and/or evenings.

Availability to work alternate weekends is required for most weekday positions.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with clients to set and achieve meaningful goals.
  • Support development of skills and confidence for independent living.
  • Help rebuild skills for personal care and everyday activities, promoting choice, dignity and control.
  • Offer physical and emotional support, encouraging participation in daily living tasks.
  • Monitor progress and report when clients reach independence.
  • Identify and respond promptly to any safeguarding concerns following policies.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, colleagues and other professionals.
  • Maintain accurate, timely records using mobile technology.
  • Explain actions to the person caring for to involve them in the care process.
  • Implement safe working practices aligned with company values.
Required Skills and Criteria
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
Desired Skills and Criteria
  • Experience in reablement work.
Additional Information

Travel to surrounding areas may be required. All successful applicants will undergo an enhanced DBS check, which we cover.

Contract and Salary
  • Contract type: full‑time.
  • Salary: £13.80 – £14.30 per hour.
