Emergency nursing experience meets clinical mentorship in this rotating position supporting ER and HAU teams at Dawson Creek Hospital. Travel is required.
Under a manager’s general supervision, the Registered Nurse Clinical Mentor provides experienced clinical guidance to nursing staff and other team members. Working with nurse educators, this role supports excellent client care through practice mentorship, formal advice, instruction, and staff development. The position reflects Northern Health’s mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide rapid elbow-to-elbow clinical mentorship for nursing staff
- Function as a clinical resource for nursing practice
- Advise nursing staff on clinical practice matters
- Provide clinical instruction and support staff training
- Mentor staff through skills development initiatives
- Registered Nurse clinical experience and leadership skills
- Three or more recent, relevant ER or HAU years
- Willingness to travel for the position
- Ability to work rotating days and evenings
- Experience supporting nursing practice and staff development
Support ER and HAU nurses through clinical instruction, mentorship, practice guidance, and leadership at Dawson Creek Hospital.
