Location: Chetwynd
Lead pet retail service in Chetwynd, British Columbia, using team coaching and customer service skills to support Pet Parents.
As an Assistant Store Manager, you will develop store employees and help customers find nutrition and solutions for pets. Pet Valu’s family includes Pet Valu, Paulmac’s Pet Food, Bosley’s, Tisol, and Total Pet. The position combines retail management, product knowledge, community relationships, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Coach and develop employees through daily supervision
- Recruit, schedule, train, and assign team tasks
- Maintain customer service standards and community relationships
- Coordinate orders, inventory, audits, repairs, and paperwork
- Coordinate staff efforts to achieve targeted business results
- Minimum two years customer service and retail management experience
- Enthusiasm for learning and growing in pet care
- Strong customer service skills and friendly personality
- Availability for scheduled weekends and evenings
- Working knowledge of POS and ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively
