Commercial Roofing Estimator

Command Roofing is a family-owned and operated commercial flat/low slope roofing company, serving the Southwest Ohio area for almost 40 years!
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of construction projects by providing accurate cost estimates and bids. This position requires a strong understanding of commercial roofing, project management, and the ability to estimate complex commercial projects.

* Responsibilities include:

* * Review bid opportunities and determine which are appropriate to bid.

* Analyze blueprints and specifications to determine project requirements and scope.

* Compile an organized, accurate, concise takeoff and estimate.

* Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data for estimating purposes.

* Present prepared estimates to management for sign-off.

* Draft proposals and/or contracts.

* Participate in the transition of the job from estimating to project management.

* Attend pre-bid/construction meetings when necessary and be on-site representative for certain projects.

* Monitor project costs throughout the roofing process to ensure adherence to budget.

* Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure competitive pricing.

* Provide ongoing support during the bidding process, including responding to inquiries from building owners and contractors.

* Skills
* * 3+ years
* minimum
* experience in commercial roof estimating.

* Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems and industry codes and standards.

* Knowledge of single ply, built-up (asphalt and coal tar pitch), modified bitumen, sheet metal, coating systems and standing seam metal roofing systems.

* Ability to read/interpret architectural plans and specifications.

* Proficiency with technology is a must, specifically estimation software such as Bluebeam and CAD

* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Must be extremely organized and multitask oriented

* Attention to detail and the ability to recognize discrepancies.

* Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.

* Not afraid of heights!

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
