Overview
Dayton Children’s Hospital is currently recruiting a child and adolescent psychiatrist for our behavioral health unit and consult service. Candidates must be board certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
This is a full-time position (0.8 FTE) with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits. The position will cover the behavioral health unit and weekends (Saturday and Sunday). The provider will have five weekends off per year.
This is a new opportunity to staff the new free-standing behavioral health building currently under construction, opening in 2025. The building will double the number of behavioral health inpatient beds and support expanded program development, as well as strengthened and smoother continuity of care by bringing inpatient, outpatient, and crisis services under one roof.

Responsibilities- Provide initial psychiatric evaluations and follow-up medication management in consult and inpatient settings.
- Supervise psychiatric residents and child psychiatry fellows from Wright State University.
- Provide weekend coverage to the inpatient psychiatric unit: every 6–8 weeks.
- Provide night call for psychiatric service: 3–5 nights per month.
- Board certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
