Position
Special Education Assistant – Fairborn Primary School.
Work Schedule8:20 a.m. – 3:50 p.m., 7 hours per day.
SalaryStarting pay: $18.02 per hour.

Qualifications- Minimum of a high school diploma.
- Ability to communicate and work with handicapped students.
- Ensure safety of students.
- Assist in necessary physical care for maintenance of health and welfare of students.
- Maintain respect for confidential information at all times.
- Ability to work effectively with others.
- Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.
- Must obtain an educational aide permit as required by the State of Ohio Department of Education.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent/Designee.
- Occasional interaction with unruly children.
- Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue.
- Supervisor may authorize renumeration if the position does not allow for a duty‑free lunch.
