We are seeking dedicated and adaptable Substitute Teachers to join the Trotwood-Madison City Schools Team. Substitute Teachers play a vital role in maintaining continuity of instruction in the absence of regular classroom teachers, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment for students across various grade levels and subjects.

• Deliver lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards.
• Manage classroom behavior to foster a safe and respectful learning environment.
• Follow school policies and procedures, including safety and emergency protocols.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administration.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and other required documentation.
• Support students with special needs or accommodations as outlined in lesson plans or IEPs.

• Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
• High School Diploma
• Valid substitute teaching certification or license (as required by the state of Ohio)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage a classroom and engage students effectively.
• Flexibility to work on short notice and in various school settings.
• Knowledge of instructional techniques and classroom management strategies.
• Pass a background check and meet all district hiring requirements.

• Temporary, as-needed basis with varying hours and locations within the district.
• Work in diverse classroom settings, ranging from elementary to high school.
• Interaction with students, teachers, and administrative staff in a fast-paced environment.
