Under the general supervision of the School Principal, plan and organize instruction in ways that maximize student learning through coaching, employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies to communicate subject matter; including strategies to meet the diverse staff needs.

JOB GOALS
* To model, collaborate, and team teach best practices teaching strategies.
* To serve as a liaison with Curriculum Department and principals, to provide support to and work with educators to implement district curriculum and teaching strategies.

* To support teachers in their use of a variety of data types to inform instructional practice.
* To foster and develop positive relationships with all stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Utilize leadership skills that convey a strong knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
* Strong foundation in reading and math content and instruction (K-6), or in reading and/or math content and instruction (7-8).
* Be proficient in technology skills and have the ability to integrate technology into the classroom.
* Understand district testing procedures, concepts about testing, and the utilization of student data to improve instructional practices.
* Use interpersonal skills to collaborate in a professional manner with other staff members.
• Demonstrate proficiency in the utilization of best practices teaching strategies.
* Model a deep understanding of curriculum and the Ohio Learning Standards.
* Create and present professional development concepts for adult learners with different levels of knowledge of the concept(s).
* Understand cross curricular integration of concepts.
* Analyze data and support teacher planning for intervention strategies or enrichment reflected by the data analysis.
* Support the building principal and teachers with TBT and BLT initiatives.
* Understand grade appropriate instructional strategies.
* Co-teach to model classroom instruction when needed.
* Support teachers with the alignment and integration of district-approved materials to the curriculum.
* Understand the vertical and horizontal alignment of curriculum and instruction.
* Monitor the use of curriculum standards, pacing guides, and requirements of state and school district.
* Work with the curriculum team to revise pacing guides and courses of study, to review curriculum standards, and to implement guidelines or district requirements.
* Demonstrate knowledge of formative and summative assessment strategies.
* Assist teachers to create common assessments by grade level and subject area.
* Model the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with all stakeholders. Serve as an instructional coach with other teachers in a one on one capacity.
