• Length of Work Day: 7.5 hours per day

• Assist students with identified disabilities, including physical and cognitive, in preacademic, academic, and personal care needs. Support may be provided individually, in small or large groups, including resource rooms and classroom settings. Students may need assistance with diapering, toileting, feeding, mobility support, and transitioning from wheelchair or walker to floor/seat. Lifting may be required. Accommodations and instructional activities will be defined and directed by the classroom teacher and/or intervention specialist.
• Additional training will be provided by the district based on students’ needs. Training in CPR and/or other delegated nursing tasks (e.g., medication and health management) will be expected and provided.

Applicants must hold a high school diploma. Huber Heights City Schools aims to employ and maintain Highly Qualified paraprofessionals. Current employees will be encouraged to participate in district-provided training and receive assistance to meet the Highly Qualified criteria as defined by No Child Left Behind. Both current and new employees must meet the Highly Qualified criteria as a condition of employment in any Federal designated Title One Building.
