Job Description

Air Force (AF) Reliability and Maintainability Information System (REMIS), located at the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Business and Enterprise Systems (BES) Directorate (GB), requires full software development lifecycle activities to preserve and enhance REMIS service capabilities in support of United States warfighters worldwide.

REMIS is the AF maintenance enterprise system that provides organizational, intermediate and depot level operational authoritative information for all AF weapon systems, including fighters, bombers, transports, helicopters, remotely piloted vehicles, satellites, missiles, trainers, mine‑resistant ambush protected vehicles, communications‑electronics, intercontinental ballistic missiles, and support equipment. It is a data system for collecting, validating, editing, processing, integrating, standardizing and reporting equipment maintenance and reliability data on a global basis, and serves as the financial system feeder for cost accounting and depreciation of all AF weapon systems.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all technical and operational support for REMIS.
• Create, modify, and test code, forms, and scripts that enable computer applications to run.
• Work from specifications drawn up by software developers or other stakeholders.
• Assist software developers by analyzing user needs and designing software solutions.
• Develop and write computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve specific documents, data, and information.

Required Skills

• 5+ years experience as a computer programmer
• Bachelor's Degree
• Active Top Secret Clearance
• Security+ Certificate

Desired Skills

• 5+ years experience working on DoD programs is highly desired
• Interest in new technologies and the ability to adopt them
• Expert knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of system administration
