- Lead exploratory development work for Alternative PNT projects across the Department of Defense (DoD).
- Direct teams of engineers to develop novel solutions in Alt‑PNT technologies.
- Drive business development initiatives to broaden the portfolio of PNT projects beyond today’s scope.
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 12+ years of professional experience.
- Successful experience with modern software languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
- Successful experience developing software in either Windows or Linux environments.
- Experience with version control software such as Git.
- Willing to travel ~10% to remote test events.
- Experience in one of the following Alt‑PNT sensor technologies:
- Vision Based Navigation
- Magnetic Anomaly Navigation
- Celestial Navigation
- Signals of Opportunity
- Experience developing and testing with sensor fusion engines.
- Experience with navigation algorithm development.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Due to the requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
- Doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Active Top Secret security clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI.
- 15+ years of experience.
- Experience working with Academia.
- Experience working with and mentoring students and junior employees.
- Experience writing conference and journal papers and delivering presentations.
- Remote flight testing experience.
- Experience with test event planning.
- Experience with Inertial Measurement Units.
- Currently hold a FAA Class 3 medical certificate.
