This highly skilled Principal Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Researcher will drive cutting-edge research and development initiatives in a variety of Alt-PNT technologies. This position will be responsible for working, as part of a diverse and skilled technical team, to lead and explore new development work for Alternative PNT projects across the DoD, as well as leading teams of engineers to develop novel solutions.

This position will also lead business development initiatives to broaden the portfolio of PNT projects beyond today’s scope.

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 12+ years of professional experience
• Experience with modern software languages such as Python, C++, or Java
• Experience developing software in Windows or Linux environments
• Experience with version control software such as Git
• Willing to travel ~10% to remote test events
• Experience in one of the following Alt-PNT sensor technologies:
  Vision Based Navigation;
  Magnetic Anomaly Navigation;
  Celestial Navigation;
  Signals of Opportunity
• Experience developing and testing with sensor fusion engines
• Experience with navigation algorithm development
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• U.S. citizen and ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance due to research contract requirements

• Doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI
• 15+ years of experience
• Experience working with Academia and mentoring students and junior employees
• Experience writing conference and journal papers and delivering presentations
• Remote flight testing experience
• Experience with test event planning
• Experience with Inertial Measurement Units
• FAA Class 3 medical certificate
