TECHFORGE Solutions seeks mid to senior level Autonomous & Manned Aircraft Modeling & Simulation Software Developers/Engineers to join our Dayton office. The role involves translating system and simulation models and algorithms into C++ code, collaborating with Model Based Systems Engineering analysts and autonomous systems scientists, and influencing design decisions for autonomous control systems.

• Implement algorithms based on guidance, control, navigation, and command & control (C2) expertise.
• Collaborate with product design and engineering teams in an Agile product development life cycle, participating in requirements creation, sprint planning, grooming, and deployment.
• Translate digital models and algorithms into C++ for execution.
• Work alone or within a team, supporting design, implementation, and deployment for internal and external client products.
• Assist in feasibility studies, high‑profile projects, and continuous improvement of autonomous vehicle systems.

• U.S. citizenship and valid Secret or higher security clearance (inactive clearance eligible for reactivation).
• Full‑scope background check.
• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 3 years professional experience in algorithmic software development.
• Minimum 3 years professional experience coding in C++.
• Experience with MATLAB, AFSIM, Simulink or similar modeling tool suites.
• Strong math skills; proven experience or mathematics minor preferred.
• Familiarity with modern Dev Ops and software life‑cycle tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; client‑facing experience.
• Ability to work under time pressure and meet budget constraints.
• Self‑motivated, collaborative, and able to travel domestically up to 10% of the time.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field; 7+ years of relevant professional experience may substitute if client approves.

• 2+ years professional experience with MATLAB.
• Background in autonomy software development and vehicle control implementation.
• Strong interest in learning new tools, languages, and workflows.
• MS degree or higher in a related field highly desired.
• Experience in applied mathematics.
• Python software development experience desirable.
• Top Secret or higher clearance desirable.
