My client, a leading Tier-1 supplier to the automotive industry, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead its New Model Launch Group. This high-visibility role will oversee all aspects of new model engineering, from concept through mass production. Based at the company’s North American headquarters in the Dayton, OH area, you’ll be the central figure ensuring the flawless launch of new programs in a fast-paced, precision-driven manufacturing environment.

- Lead the New Model Launch group in overseeing new model program launch from engineering to production which will include coordination, testing, tooling development, and manufacturing equipment/production cell development in a metal fabrication, welding and assembly oriented manufacturing environment
- Serve as the lead between corporate and internal stakeholders regarding project planning while providing input on new technology and line layouts
- Manage program timelines, engineering deliverables, design reviews, and launch readiness
- Coordinate internally with department managers to ensure that manufacturing objectives are met in a timely and cost effective manner
- Guide feasibility studies, equipment planning, and cost analysis for new products
- Be able to do the job as described
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline required
- 10+ years management experience within automotive manufacturing
- Prior experience working for a Japanese automotive supplier strongly preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
