Job Summary

Estimator role at EMCOR Construction Services, Dayton, Ohio. Full‑time, exempt. Reports to President.

• Analyze, review and interpret engineering contracts, plans and specifications to develop detailed, comprehensive construction estimates for both small and large projects.
• Complete estimate take‑off within time‑deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Accurately define project requirements.
• Obtain quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Attend pre‑bid meetings and ensure complete scope of work required.
• Assist in determining project resource requirements in alignment with company goals and objectives.
• Provide liaison support to all internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure all estimates submitted are as accurate and complete as possible.
• Provide timely project turnover documentation from Estimating to Project Management.

• Strong time management and detail oriented skills.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years’ experience estimating, Structured Cabling, AV and Security Systems.
• Strong understanding of construction documentation and math skills.
• BICSI RCDD certification and/or a degree from an accredited college or university is a plus.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead people and get results through others.
• Ability to effectively organize multiple projects and resource planning skills.
• Technical skills necessary for project engineering.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems.
