Job Summary
Estimator role at EMCOR Construction Services, Dayton, Ohio. Full‑time, exempt. Reports to President.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Analyze, review and interpret engineering contracts, plans and specifications to develop detailed, comprehensive construction estimates for both small and large projects.
- Complete estimate take‑off within time‑deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Accurately define project requirements.
- Obtain quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Attend pre‑bid meetings and ensure complete scope of work required.
- Assist in determining project resource requirements in alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Provide liaison support to all internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure all estimates submitted are as accurate and complete as possible.
- Provide timely project turnover documentation from Estimating to Project Management.
- Strong time management and detail oriented skills.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 5+ years’ experience estimating, Structured Cabling, AV and Security Systems.
- Strong understanding of construction documentation and math skills.
- BICSI RCDD certification and/or a degree from an accredited college or university is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lead people and get results through others.
- Ability to effectively organize multiple projects and resource planning skills.
- Technical skills necessary for project engineering.
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
