Resonant Sciences LLC has an immediate opening for an Avionics Engineering Technician to join our Dayton, Ohio team. The position provides an opportunity to join a fast-paced elite team whose primary mission is to support our Nation's War Fighters. The candidate for this position shall be a self-starter who can work independently, unsupervised, and with little guidance.
The candidate will have an opportunity to be a member of a world-class team consisting of talented and dedicated engineers, technicians, and professionals who work together to interrupt and challenge the status quo to design and develop state-of-the-art technologies.
Duties And ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking an Avionics Engineering Technician to plan, design, and test aircraft parts and provide feedback to the manufacturing teams.
- Ensure compliance with aircraft and missile requirements.
- Collaborate with other engineers and professionals on developing, producing, testing, and maintaining aircraft.
- Conduct repairs and installations.
- Test internal systems and check quality assurance based on understanding of aircraft and computer systems.
- Analyze new product designs to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
- Associate's degree in a related field of study, at least 10 years of relevant experience. A higher-level degree may substitute for experience, and related experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
- Ability to understand and interpret complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications.
- Instrumentation experience using standard laboratory test equipment, other measurement equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
- Experience with 3-D CAD software and generating wiring schematics.
- Basic skills with avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair, and wiring installation.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience pinning/de-pinning connectors, crimping, and chafe protection.
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of soldering techniques and/or J-Std certified.
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, NASA, the US Department of Defense or US Military.
- A&P Certified.
- Experience with digital or analog circuit analysis.
- U.S. Citizenship required. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance required. Active clearance preferred.
