Backed by Falfurrias Management Partners, the platform brings together deep domain expertise across Army, Navy, and Air Force and Space Force programs, digital engineering, systems integration, and specialized manufacturing capabilities.
The combined organization operates as a multi-entity aerospace and defense technology and tech-enabled services and manufacturing enterprise positioned for scalable growth, operational excellence, and long-term value creation.
Full-time/Permanent EmployeeLocation:
Dayton, OH
We are seeking a Modeling and Simulation Engineer/Scientist II to support U.S. Air Force programs in Dayton, Ohio. In this role, you will develop and integrate high-fidelity models using the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM) to evaluate air and space systems, electronic warfare (EW) capabilities, and mission-level performance. Responsibilities include creating radio-frequency (RF) sensor and antenna models, building algorithms and simulation components, and integrating these elements into engagement- and theater-level AFSIM scenarios.
You will work closely with Air Force stakeholders to support analysis, concept development, and acquisition decisions through physics-based modeling, scenario development, and Monte Carlo simulation execution.
- You will be responsible for development of RF sensor models, algorithms and associated simulation software for the above system types and will perform trade-space analysis to assess and verify system characteristics and capabilities
- You will be responsible for the development of complex antenna element and array models, assessing and verifying antenna design and capabilities, and integrating these antenna models into larger complex system models, algorithms, and simulations
- You will document all software and hardware characteristics and changes to existing and new simulation environments; test architecture design and test planning; experimental design and test execution; data collection and analysis; and report generation
- You will integrate models into complex simulation architectures, including engagement-level simulations, theater-level simulations, hardware-in-the-loop architectures, and AFSIM-based mission-level simulation environments
- You will support the development, testing, and refinement of subsystem and system models within AFSIM to enhance scenario fidelity and mission effectiveness evaluations
