About

the Role

New product introduction is where a certified design becomes a product that ships on time, at quality, and at target cost. This role leads that transition on the supply chain and manufacturing side. As Sr. Launch Manager – NPI, you will own the introduction plans that take new products through certification and into rate production, so that post-certification quality, delivery, and cost targets are met.

Based in Dayton (Riverside), OH, with additional postings in Bohemia, NY and Vandalia, OH, you will work alongside engineering, program management, sourcing, manufacturing development labs, and rate production teams. You will lead cross‑functional teams through NPI tollgates and readiness reviews, and make the calls on risk, cost, and schedule that determine whether a product is ready to launch.

Job Description

In this role you will:

  • Lead supply chain cross‑functional teams in preparing for and progressing through NPI tollgates, producibility reviews, and production readiness reviews
  • Partner with NPI Integrated Product Team peers to provide cost and schedule inputs for the NPI program plan, covering manufacturing process development, hardware and asset builds, and manufacturing and sourcing readiness risk‑abatement actions
  • Lead cross‑functional teams to define supply chain and strategic plans for new product proposals
  • Manage Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL), facilitate Manufacturing Readiness Assessments (MRA), and drive maturation plans where required
  • Organize and lead projects for new product introductions, new equipment, layout, and optimization, identifying and mitigating manufacturing risks and delivering manufacturing opportunities
  • Shape strategy for your area of responsibility, including resource control and policy formulation
  • Assess internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices that improve products, processes, cost, and service
  • Develop new solutions to problems that fall outside set parameters, and present clear recommendations

Lead functional teams and projects with focused scope, using strong project management experience and expertise
