Accounting Analyst

The Ash Group is hiring an Accounting Analyst for our client (a pioneering technology leader in hardware and software productivity solutions). This is an Onsite 6-month contract role based in Dayton, OH
, offering a pay rate of $60.00 per hour. This position provides essential accounting support for the IT and Cloud Services division, focusing on transactional excellence and data organization within a high-growth technology environment.

• Compensation: $60.00 per hour.

• Transaction Management: Record daily financial transactions via journal entries, focusing on accruals, allocations, and amortizations.
• IT Spend Support: Assist the IT infrastructure team with financial tracking for major vendors.
• Schedules & Reconciliations: Prepare and maintain prepaid and amortization schedules and perform balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with corporate policy.
• Data Analysis: Use Expert-level Excel to organize large datasets, review transaction lines, and perform basic variance and fluctuation analysis.
• Closing Support: Contribute to the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes to ensure accurate tracking of expenses.
• Audit Readiness: Maintain clean, accurate supporting documentation for both internal and external audit requirements.

• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Advanced proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets. Comfortable managing data-heavy worksheets and following complex processes.
• Experience: 1–3 years of accounting or high-level AP/AR experience. Specific exposure to prepaids and amortization is highly preferred (~20% of the workload).
• System Knowledge: Experience with an enterprise-grade ERP (Oracle preferred) is a significant plus.
• Education: A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
