Assistant Director, Financial Aid Compliance

University of Dayton is hiring an Assistant Director, Financial Aid Compliance for Student Enrollment Services. The role reports to the Associate Director of Compliance and manages the financial aid office’s daily compliance and service needs. It protects the accuracy of financial aid information by reviewing key reports and keeping student records current.

• Administer and reconcile federal, state, and institutional aid programs.
• Support key financial aid processes including packaging, FAFSA review, loan processing, and webpage updates.
• Oversee FAFSA corrections and review key reports to keep student records accurate and timely.
• Work with the Office of Flyer Student Services to meet service and operational needs.
• Create and update documentation that drives consistency in financial aid account updates.
• Apply knowledge of student financial aid laws and regulations, internal controls, compliance, and audit concepts to improve and streamline processes.
• Bachelor’s degree or five years of progressive financial aid experience, plus two years in a university one-stop or financial aid office providing counseling to students and families.
• Preferred experience includes Ellucian Banner, Salesforce, and the Banner Document Management System, along with higher education enrollment management experience at a private university.
