Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Financial Planning Analyst: Money Guide Pro & Client Impact

A well-established, multi-location private wealth management practice, is seeking a Paraplanner to support Financial Advisors and Associate Financial Advisors in developing and delivering comprehensive financial plans for individuals and families.

This role combines financial-plan construction and analysis with meaningful client interaction. You will gather and update client information, build planning models, compare scenarios, prepare recommendations for advisor review, participate in client meetings, and follow through on planning deliverables.

The focus is personal financial planning, including retirement, investments, cash flow, insurance, education funding, tax considerations, and estate-planning needs. Experience in a wealth management or financial planning practice is especially valuable. Candidates with related analytical experience may also be considered when paired with a clear commitment to learning personal financial planning and obtaining the required licenses.

The practice is transitioning from Navi Plan to Money Guide, making Money Guide experience especially valuable. We have an immediate hiring need and may hire up to two exceptional candidates.

This position offers two potential career paths: long-term specialization in financial planning or continued development toward CFP certification, the practice’s concierge team, and ultimately an Associate Financial Advisor opportunity.

The position generally follows a Monday–Friday, standard business-hours schedule and is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law.

What You Will Do

Financial Plan Development and Analysis

  • Gather, organize, and analyze client information across retirement, investments, cash flow, insurance, education funding, tax considerations, estate-planning inputs, and other planning areas.
  • Update client data and build, run, and quality-check comprehensive financial-planning models, scenario analyses, and supporting illustrations.
  • Prepare preliminary planning documents, recommendations, and product-solution analyses, including Money Guide deliverables, for advisor review and approval.
  • Support insurance analysis by preparing product illustrations and in-force reprojections within applicable licensing, supervisory, and role-authority parameters.
  • Identify missing information, inconsistencies, and follow-up questions that could affect the accuracy of a financial plan.

Client Meeting Preparation and Follow-Through

  • Prepare client meeting files, enter planning data, and assemble supporting documents.
  • Present financial-planning models alongside Financial Advisors and help explain planning concepts and next steps clearly.
  • Document meeting action items and coordinate timely follow-up.
  • Prepare written financial plans and create, track, and deliver client-ready planning materials and communications.

Planning Systems and Team Support

  • Support the transition from Navi Plan to Money Guide by helping establish consistent templates, workflows, documentation, and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate electronic client files and protect confidential information.
  • Follow practice, regulatory, and data-security procedures.
  • Collaborate with advisors and service teams to manage priorities and complete client deliverables.
  • Contribute to planning-team projects and process improvements.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in financial planning, finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related discipline. Graduation from an accredited CFP Board Registered Program is strongly preferred.
  • Two years of experience with a financial-services firm offering investment management, insurance products, and comprehensive financial planning preferred. Relevant internships or comparable experience will also be considered.
  • Series 7, Series 66, and…
