Pay Range: $76,693 – $99,696 per year
Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) seeks a Full-Time Sexual Assault/Sexual Harassment Prevention and Response Specialist (NH-0101-02) to serve in the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) at the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), 88th Air Base Wing (ABW).
This position can close at any time.
Responsibilities- Serve as a Sexual Assault/Sexual Harassment Victim Advocate to eligible installation-level military, civilians, and dependents.
- Provide effective prevention and response programs addressing sexual assault/sexual harassment and other interpersonal violence.
- Offer support and advocacy services, liaison services, and care to victims, maintaining contact throughout the lifecycle of each case.
- Provide initial response services such as access to emergency medical treatment (secondary prevention) and long‑term support as needed (tertiary prevention).
- Assist the installation Sexual Assault/Harassment Response Coordinator (SARC) in developing and delivering comprehensive training.
- Facilitate or assist in the planning, scheduling, and delivery of response training for all installation personnel, leadership, deploying personnel, and key stakeholders.
- Represent the SAPR installation program to military and civilian agencies.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Obtain & maintain a Security clearance.
- Must be willing to work non‑standard hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on‑call status.
- Designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP); must pass initial and periodic drug testing.
- Possess a valid driver’s license; may be required to drive a motor vehicle for the role.
- High level of discretion with sensitive information.
- Minimum Tier 3 Background Check with either a State Criminal History Record Check (SCHRC) or enrollment in Continuous Evaluation (CE).
- Maintain DoD Sexual Assault Advocate Certification and recertification from the National Organization of Victim Assistance (NOVA).
- Possibly travel on military or commercial aircraft for TDYs or conferences.
- Knowledge of social science and social work principles relating to victim advocacy and prevention of sexual assault/harassment.
- Knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies related to SAPR and interpersonal violence.
- Knowledge of social service delivery systems and methods for victim advocacy.
- Knowledge of training and education techniques for delivering sexual assault/harassment training.
- Skill in applying tact, diplomacy, and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to employ crisis intervention and situational assessment techniques to meet victims’ needs.
