Job DetailsDayton Children's South Campus Pharmacy is a unique pharmacy setting, offering both hospital and retail pharmacy services. The pharmacy technician assists the pharmacist with the preparation of medications for dispensing. The technician performs various technical and supportive tasks necessary to provide pharmacy services. The technician works under supervision of the pharmacist, focuses on accurate medication preparation following established policies and procedures set forth by the Pharmacy Department, and understands the pharmacist’s role in verification of all preparations prior to dispensing to patient care areas.
The technician meets the requirements of being a “qualified pharmacy technician” as established by the State Board of Pharmacy, holds a pharmacy technician certification from a State Board of Pharmacy accredited agency, and adheres to all regulations as established by the State Board of Pharmacy.
