We are seeking a creative and compassionate Activities Assistant for our [REGION] region. The Activities Assistant responsible for assisting the Activity Coordinator in planning, organizing, evaluating, and providing recreational opportunities to meet the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of individuals served, utilizing a person-centered approach to assist the individuals in fulfilling their desires and needs for an independent life. This position will take the lead, run, and participate in in-home activities and external outings and events.

This position will need to work closely with all departments and the corporate camp office for camp, special events and trips to accomplish individual activities and meet the needs of the individuals served. This position is part of the activity and program department and will be involved in other teams or committees that are involved in the care and programming of the individuals.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a similar role is highly desired.
• CPR and First Aide certifications required within 90 days of hire.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Empathy, compassion, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
• Reliable and responsible with excellent time management skills.
• Valid driver's license required along with an insurable driving record according to the Echoing Hills Village insurance carriers.
