Within our retail locations, the Pharmacy Technician plays a critical role in supporting our pharmacy teams to consistently deliver on our brand promise.

Responsibilities
  • Live our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help pharmacists manage and improve patient health.
  • Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation (production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, and drop‑off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
  • Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care—creating heartfelt and personalized moments while serving patients at pick‑up, drive‑thru, and via phone; offering immunizations and other services; and resolving patient problems with compassion.
  • Complete basic inventory activities (e.g., putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts, returns‑to‑stocks, waiting‑bin inventories) as permitted by law and directed by pharmacy leadership.
  • Contribute to a high‑performing team, embrace a growth mindset, and be receptive to feedback; seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge.
  • Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, and volunteer traveling to stores in the market to work shifts as needed.
  • Understand and comply with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles; ensure patient safety, controlled‑substance dispensing, record‑keeping, and privacy protection.
  • Deliver additional patient health‑care services (e.g., immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, and voluntary staffing off‑site clinics) when allowed by law and supported by required training.
Immunization Responsibilities (if applicable)
  • Complete additional licensure and training to obtain Technician Immunizer status for vaccine preparation and administration.
  • Educate patients about vaccines and refer questions to the pharmacist‑on‑duty.
  • Monitor and respond to adverse reactions; report events per public‑health requirements.
  • Review and collect patient information and document it appropriately.
  • Monitor and manage vaccine supplies.
Required Qualifications
  • Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements, including age, education, and licensure/certification.
    • If the state board does not specify an age requirement, must be at least 16 years old.
    • If no minimum educational requirement, must have a high‑school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high‑school or equivalency program.
  • State‑level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state;  to learn more.
