Overview

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Cloud Engineer to maintain and enhance capabilities in support of DAF CLOUD works at Wright Patterson AFB / Beavercreek, OH. DAF CLOUD works is a rapidly growing secure cloud program that encompasses 10+ teams focusing on information security, infrastructure development, and cloud migration. This role involves providing technical support to customers leveraging DAF CLOUD works, in addition to operations and sustainment and implementing new requirements to increase functionality and efficiency.

• Provide technical support to customers leveraging DAF CLOUD works across multiple teams.
• Participate in operations and sustainment activities and implement new requirements to enhance offerings, functionality, and efficiency.
• Contribute to modifying and improving cloud-based solutions in a DoD Skill Bridge context where applicable.
• Maintain and develop technical documentation related to cloud systems and processes.

• An active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI).
• Bachelor’s degree in Science with 2 years’ experience, Master’s degree with no experience, or 6 years’ experience in lieu of a degree.
• Meets DoD Skill Bridge qualifications per DoDI 1322.29.
• Ability to contribute to the development of technical documentation.
• Knowledge of full software lifecycle and agile development methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to operate in a team environment.
• Highly motivated, self-learner, team player, and technically inquisitive.
• Able to obtain IAT Level II certification per DoD 8570.01 such as CASP+ or Security+ within 60 days of start date.

• Be completing or has completed degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) from an accredited institution.
• Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM degree.
• Knowledge of Cloud-based technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud); certification is a plus.
• Proficiency in Python and Object-Oriented Design and Programming.
• Experience with Open Container Initiative (OCI) containerized application development (e.g., Docker, Podman).
• Familiarity with container orchestration tools and techniques (e.g., Kubernetes, Helm, Flux).
• Knowledge of the Atlassian toolset (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
• Experience leveraging Git for code management.
