Position: SR EPIC PROGRAMMER/ANALYST - RESEARCH

Overview

Premier Health Partners seeks a Sr Epic Programmer/Analyst - Research to support Epic EMR applications that back research, research billing, and clinical trials. The role involves analysis of complex workflows, advanced system configuration and development, application deployment and support, change documentation, and staff education on Epic functionality. The position requires understanding the organizational infrastructure and the ability to recommend solutions that enable enterprise goals.

The individual will deliver results across multiple teams and interact with Principal Investigators, researchers, clinicians, and billing staff. This role can be 100% out-of-state remote within the continental United States. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze complex workflows and configure Epic EMR applications to support research, research billing, and clinical trials.
  • Lead development, deployment, and ongoing support for Epic-related solutions; document changes and educate staff on Epic functionality.
  • Anticipate business needs and collaborate with business owners to recommend solutions that enable enterprise goals.
  • Act as a knowledge leader for Epic systems/applications and coordinate with multiple teams to deliver enterprise-wide solutions.
  • Interact directly with a wide range of customers, including Principal Investigators, researchers, clinicians, and billing staff.
Knowledge/Skills
  • Demonstrates specialized knowledge of relevant systems, applications, reports, and interfaces; delivers solution sets for system and application problems.
  • Proficient in enabling application and system enhancements or replacements; capable of analyzing and resolving highly complex system integration problems.
  • Strong understanding of clinical and/or business operations; effective communication with users, colleagues, developers, and administration.
  • Excellent analytical skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to lead complex projects, including system design documentation, procedures, process and data flows; provide recommendations for enhancements and replacements.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills to interface with department leadership, staff, physicians, vendors, and consultants; ability to translate technical subjects for non-technical customers.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Education
    :
    Associate degree
  • Additional Requirements
    :
    Type of degree:
    Associate Degree with 6+ years of job experience & 3 years Epic experience or Bachelor Degree with 4+ years of job experience & 2 years Epic experience;
    Area of study or major:
    Medical Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Nursing, Pharmacy, or Medicine.
  • Licensure/Certification
    :
    Epic application certification in primary area of responsibility within 6 months in position is required. Certifications required:
    Epic Research - Clinical;
    Epic Research - Billing.
