VMWare Analyst​/Engineer

We are seeking a VM Ware Analyst/Engineer to demonstrate expertise in VMware VRA and VCO products and have working knowledge of v Sphere, v Center. The successful candidate will be comfortable in a large multi-platform environment and responsive to all organizational needs.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

• Integration of VM Ware with third-party tools like Service Now
• Implementing, tuning, and maintaining VMware-based solutions
• Implementing VMware v Sphere for server consolidation and virtualization
• Actively seeking opportunities to improve existing practices, procedures, and technology implementations
• Applying technical knowledge of networks, operating systems, utilities, etc. to the VMware environment
• Providing guidance to management for changes related to virtual infrastructure
• Defining, monitoring, and troubleshooting system performance within the VMware environment
• Developing and maintaining operational guidelines for the maintenance and support of the virtual infrastructure
• Evaluating resource requirements for VMware products
• Reviewing existing technology, configuration, and implementing improvements and upgrades
• Managing and performing patch and software distributions, and managing security configuration of the systems
• Providing reports for system health, configuration, and capacity
• Performing routine maintenance and applying software updates
• Performing root cause analysis of service problems and developing solutions
• Coordinating with other Infrastructure teams to deliver solutions and configuration items without user impact
• Ensuring processes are documented and up-to-date

Requirements for this role include:

• Bachelor's degree in MIS or Computer Science, or certifications in VMware VRA & v Orchestration
• 2-4 years of experience
• Strong technical and problem-solving aptitude
• Experience in VM Ware v Cloud administration
• Experience in vCO/vRO and vCAC/vRA
• Scripting using Power Shell or Java script

Good to have:

• Integration experience with ITSM tools
• Knowledge of workflow development

Required technical skills include VM Ware v Cloud, vCO/vRO, vCAC/vRA, and Scripting.
