DevOps Engineer

Genesis
10 is seeking a Dev Ops Engineer for a 12-month contract-to-hire position with our financial services client. The position will be located in Berkley Heights, NJ. Will work on a hybrid schedule.

Compensation: $65.00 - $75.00 per hour (W-2).

• Serve as a key expert on AWS Cloud-native development and operations.
• Own and manage production infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Git Lab/Jenkins to streamline build, test, and deployment processes.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, Bash, Shell) for infrastructure management and service orchestration.
• Deploy and operate applications using AWS ECS, EKS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Build and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform, Cloud Formation, or AWS CDK.
• Implement monitoring and observability using Splunk, Dynatrace, Cloud Watch, and Cloud Trail.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Developers, QA, PMs) to enable smooth, automated release management.
• Drive developer efficiency by building tools and self-service platforms that reduce manual work.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across application, infrastructure, networking, and database layers.
• Mentor junior team members and share best practices across teams.

• 5+ years of relevant Dev Ops/Build & Release Engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, ECS, EKS, IAM, VPC, Route
  53, WAF).
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, and/or Shell scripting for automation.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Git Lab, Jenkins, Maven) and Git branching strategies.
• Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloud Formation, AWS CDK).
• Familiarity with databases (MySQL, RDS, Dynamo
  
  DB) and web servers (Apache, NGINX).
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (IP, DNS, load balancing, CDNs).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills across distributed systems.

• Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer, Solutions Architect).
• Experience with Apigee API Management.
• Prior experience in the payments or financial services industry.
• Knowledge of performance testing and static code analysis integrations in CI/CD pipelines.
