Position Title: Network Systems Admin & Cyber Security Specialist III
We are seeking a highly experienced and creative Cyber Network Systems Admin & Cyber Security Specialist III to support technical development efforts at Wright-Patterson AFB. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in designing and enhancing advanced systems and tools that directly support national defense operations.
You will exercise independent judgment in solving highly complex problems, lead technical efforts, and work in close coordination with government stakeholders to ensure optimal outcomes. This is an opportunity to lead with innovation and deliver with purpose.
- Design, specify, and develop systems and tools for both new programs and enhancements to existing platforms.
- Solve complex technical challenges with independent analysis and innovative thinking.
- Conduct in-depth studies and develop validated models, frameworks, or technical recommendations.
- Maintain broad expertise in engineering principles and programming practices relevant to defense systems.
- Interface regularly with government customers to ensure alignment and mission readiness.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members, contributing to workforce development.
- Draft and present high-quality documentation, including technical reports, white papers, proposals, and briefings.
- Often serve as a technical lead, directing the work of other engineers or scientists as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in a highly technical environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical problems and deliver innovative, validated solutions.
- Proficiency in engineering tools, computer programming, and systems development best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
