This position requires an active Secret clearance.

The Junior Data Scientist will provide support to the customer to uncover and explain actionable insights from data by combining scientific method, math and statistics, specialized programming, advanced analytics, AI, and storytelling. The statistician will work as part of a team of experienced statisticians, data scientists, data engineers, and data analysts to support advanced analytics projects for the F‑35 program. You will work as part of a team with other contractors, government civilians, and military personnel in an agile environment.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret and incorporate data from multiple tool sources.
  • Analyze data sources to provide actionable recommendations.
  • Frame and scale statistical problems to effectively analyze, visualize and find solutions.
  • Transform data and analysis into informative data visualizations and/or interactive dashboards.
  • Develop or recommend analytic approaches for problems with incomplete information or no precedent.
  • Provide statistical support to the F‑35 program, including data analysis, statistical modeling, and reporting.
  • Communicate statistical results and recommendations to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Interact professionally with clients/internal teams; gather requirements and document work in a ticketing system, designing and implementing new feature additions and improvements.
  • Utilize industry standard tools such as Gitlab for code version control, project management, product requirements, and user documentation.
  • Work directly with the customer to gather requirements and product feedback for future iterations.
  • Support capabilities briefings for military personnel.
  • Analyze business requirements and create solutions; troubleshoot problems and provide timely resolutions.
  • Effectively communicate with product owners to understand business concerns and propose solutions for acceptance.
  • Demonstrate high energy, enthusiasm, tact, and ability to interact with senior executives from Government and industry.
  • Create and foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Self‑directed, detail‑oriented in completing assigned tasks, able to adapt to changing work efforts and manage impact of shifting priorities.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, including room or virtual space reservations; develop and distribute meeting agendas and materials; manage attendee lists and security permissions.
  • Provide general administrative support, including document management and data entry.
  • Availability for occasional travel.

  • Demonstrate strong leadership and team collaboration abilities.
