Compensation Range: $80,000-$115,000 annually

Our client, an established global distributor in the food service industry, is seeking an Information Technology Specialist with hands-on Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) experience to join its lean IT team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically versatile professional who enjoys combining ERP support, software development, database reporting, and day-to-day IT operations.

In this role, you'll work closely with IT leadership and business users to troubleshoot issues, support a highly customized P21 environment, improve business processes, and develop practical technical solutions. The environment offers plenty of variety and the opportunity to take ownership of problems, investigate undocumented customizations, and make a meaningful impact on business operations.

The ideal candidate is a resourceful problem-solver who can work independently, communicate effectively with end users, and bring both technical curiosity and a strong sense of urgency to the team.

• Provide technical support for Epicor Prophet 21 (P21), investigating ERP issues, troubleshooting system behavior, and supporting business applications in a customized environment.
• Develop, update, and troubleshoot SQL/T-SQL queries, reports, and database-related solutions to support business operations and reporting needs.
• Assist with application development, testing, automation, and integrations using technologies such as .NET Core, Visual Studio, and related Microsoft tools.
• Provide day-to-day IT support for workstations, laptops, printers, handheld devices, software, Microsoft 365, Teams, One Drive, and SharePoint.
• Support user account administration, permissions, access requests, software updates, and basic server, workstation, and network administration.
• Assist with cybersecurity initiatives, endpoint protection, multifactor authentication (MFA), patching, backups, and disaster recovery activities.
• Document technical solutions, business rules, customizations, reports, workflows, and troubleshooting procedures to improve knowledge sharing and maintainability.
• Collaborate with IT leadership and business stakeholders to identify process improvements, support technology requests, and implement solutions that improve efficiency.

Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered.

• Hands-on experience with Epicor Prophet 21 (P21), including business application support, troubleshooting, or customization investigation.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server and SQL/T-SQL, including the ability to write, modify, or troubleshoot queries.
• Experience with .NET Core and Visual Studio, with the ability to investigate and troubleshoot application or code-related issues.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to investigate unfamiliar systems and work through issues in a customized environment with limited documentation.
• Approximately 1-3 years of experience in IT, software development, database/reporting, IT operations, or a related technical field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, a customer-service-oriented mindset, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with a small team.
