Ring Central is looking for an HCM Program Manager to drive delivery of our Human Capital Management initiatives, from new module rollouts to upgrades, integrations, and process improvements. This is a senior individual contributor role with no direct reports. You'll be the hands-on owner who keeps HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and our HCM vendor aligned and moving, and who makes sure what we launch actually gets adopted.
This is an in-house role. You won't be handing off to a client at go-live; you'll live with the platform and keep making it better. Reports to [Hiring Manager Title, e.g. Director of HR Technology / HRIS Manager].
- Drive end-to-end delivery of HCM initiatives, including module implementations (Payroll, Time & Attendance, Benefits, Talent, Recruiting), upgrades, and vendor releases
- Build and maintain integrated plans across related work streams, tracking timelines, dependencies, risks, and budget
- Run the operating rhythm: status reporting, working sessions, and steering committee updates for HR, Finance, and IT leadership
- Gather requirements from HR, Payroll, and business partners and translate them into clear scope, configuration needs, and success criteria
- Partner day-to-day with the HCM vendor and implementation partner, holding them to scope, timelines, and SOW commitments
- Coordinate integrations with adjacent systems such as ERP/GL, benefits carriers, LMS, ATS, and identity management
- Own testing and data migration execution, including end-to-end, parallel payroll, and user acceptance testing
- Lead change management, training, and communications so employees, managers, and HR teams adopt new processes
- Plan and run cutovers and go-lives, then manage hypercare and transition to ongoing support
- Surface risks early, elevate with options, and contribute to the HCM roadmap based on what you learn after launch
- 5+ years of project or program management experience
- Hands-on experience driving at least one full-cycle HCM implementation on a platform such as UKG, ADP, Dayforce, Workday, Oracle, or Success Factors
- Working knowledge of core HR processes: hire-to-retire, payroll, time and attendance, benefits, and compensation
- Experience managing vendors and implementation partners against scope and SOW commitments
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through influence, without direct authority
- Strong command of project management tools and methods (Smartsheet, Jira, MS Project, or similar; Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
- Comfort handling sensitive employee data and working within privacy and compliance requirements
- Clear, confident communicator who can brief leadership and run a working session with equal ease
- Nice to have PMP, CSM, or equivalent certification
- Platform certification (e.g., UKG Pro, ADP Workforce Now, Dayforce)
- Multi-state or international payroll experience
- Background in change management (Prosci or similar)
