Position Overview:
SBCC seeks an Acquisition Program Manager (APM) passionate about acquiring technology to support USAF and DoW missions. The APM will partner with operators and requirements developers to find, fund, develop, and field innovative solutions for warfighters, and develop strategies for transitioning competitively selected programs to a fielded state.

Essential Functions- Work directly with USG staff to source commercial solutions for critical capability requirements.
- Advise SBCC and USG staff on innovative, streamlined acquisition pathways.
- Explore commercial solutions for cutting‑edge technology.
- Enable advancement of the USAF strategic mission set by harnessing technological innovations and developing a Technology Roadmap.
- Perform planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE) activities associated with assigned programs.
- Develop and support Defense acquisition strategies for assigned programs, including R&D, test & evaluation, contract strategy, funding & budget planning, logistics, and systems engineering.
- Track requirements, environmental factors, constraints, and risks impacting the program.
- Research and understand frameworks, managerial systems, and processes for program funding and decisions.
- Develop cross‑functional USG relationships and align stakeholders to support program requirements.
- Assess and report progress of assigned projects or programs.
- Maintain schedules, cost estimates, and performance metrics.
- Coordinate logistics, data management, and other program‑related activities.
- Support development of documentation and information management for pre‑ and post‑award activities.
- Establish task assignments and ensure quality and productivity standards while meeting deadlines and budget constraints.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of additional work experience related to the functional description.
- 4+ years of government acquisition and/or contract acquisition program manager experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Defense or government acquisition principles, policies, and practices.
- Knowledge of the system‑equipment life‑cycle phases and associated documentation, analyses, and reviews.
- U.S. Citizen with Clearance (SECRET or higher).
Education and Experience
- Master’s Degree in Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Government Policy, etc.
- Professional certifications (PMP, DAWIA, APDP Level 2/3, Lean Six Sigma, CPI, Executive Coaching, Dev Sec Ops , etc.).
- Leadership experience in U.S. Service‑related military operations or defense acquisition program management.
- Familiarity with DoDI 50002 and related DAWIA education.

U.S. Citizen, Clearance (SECRET or higher).
Commuting / Relocation- Desired Location 1:
Dayton (Wright Patterson AFB), OH – Preferable ready to commute or relocate. - Desired Location 2:
Macon (Warner Robins AFB), GA – Preferable ready to commute or relocate.
$120,000 – $180,000 per year.
