SUMMARY
- This position will lead a team of direct reports including Order Processors and Forklift Operators to help ensure order fulfillment, picking accuracy, order checking and truck loading metrics are executed
- Oversee and implement onboarding job and safety training as well as ongoing training and safety check‑ins
- Must embrace a culture of continuous improvement and effectively influence the attitudes and behavior of the team to work towards consistent excellence
- Must have a strong knowledge of the warehouse and the ability to successfully work in collaboration with numerous Operations associates.
- Establish a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Motivate and develop the order processing team – including performance and employee relations
- Respond, investigate and resolve safety questions and concerns
- Ensure all associates are educated on safety and proper use of the equipment
- Ensure all associates are trained properly in picking, stacking, and wrapping product
- Ensure orders are checked & loaded onto the correct truck
- Train new employees on Voice Pick and Easy Pick
- Ensure all safety protocols are being followed
- Routinely assess skills of order processing team and provide additional training as needed
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Highly organized with ability to manage priorities and coordinate multiple projects
- Two-plus years of warehouse experience preferred
- Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions and wide temperature variations
- Must be to work flexible hours through the week and, sometimes weekends
- Week before and, during National Holidays are a must to work
- Dress code is business casual; closed‑toe shoes are suggested. Other restrictions may apply
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs. minimum, climb ladders while working safely
- While performing the duties of this job, employee is required to stand; balance; walk; climb stairs, sit; use hands to feel and handle objects, tools, or controls, including standard office equipment such as computers and phones; reach with hands and arms; talk; hear; and have specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus
