The Assembler III operates and maintains stations to assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or units according to specifications and follows established manufacturing procedures. This role requires proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. The Assembler III tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards.
Additionally, the Assembler III may repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels and keeps daily assembly production records.
- Operate production line equipment and hand / power tools efficiently at all workstations to assemble components.
- Assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or units according to specifications.
- Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards.
- Repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Keep daily assembly production records.
- Follow established manufacturing procedures and safety protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of related experience in assembly operations.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, assembly sketches, and procedures.
- High level of manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Basic computer navigation skills.
- Soldering certification is a plus.
- Ability to calculate figures and perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers and fractions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently within established procedures.
- Standing for sustained periods of time.
- Working with hand / fingers, primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand.
- Lifting objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position.
- Job operates in a production environment
- Noise level is usually moderate.
- Follow site EHS procedures and corporate EHS standards.
- Responsible for the execution and maintenance of applicable quality and environmental standards.
