ASSOC NURSE MGR-PCU3 / MIXED ACUITY
Associate Nurse Manager

Facility: MIAMI VALLEY HOSPITAL NORTH

Department: PCU2

Hours: Fulltime; 7p-7:30a; 72 hours per pay period

The Associate Nurse Manager (ANM) supports the Nurse Manager (NM) by overseeing daily nursing operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, fostering a diverse and inclusive environment, and executing performance improvement initiatives. The ANM leads a nursing team, managing staffing, productivity, and coaching staff while collaborating with the NM to drive change and enhance patient experience.

Education
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing school; BSN required or must be obtained within 3 years of hire.
  • Proof of enrollment within 6 months of hire.
Licensure / Certification / Registration
  • Valid Ohio RN License
  • Current BLS
  • Specialty certifications may be required depending on unit
  • Professional certification preferred
Experience
  • Minimum 2‑year experience as a hospital‑based RN.
  • 1 year of informal leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise nursing staff and serve as an extension of the NM in leadership presence.
  • Manage staffing and productivity standards, ensuring adequate resources for patient care.
  • Coach and mentor the nursing team to enhance performance and professional growth.
  • Lead daily nurse leader rounding and implement quality action plans to improve patient experience.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities and support change initiatives within the dynamic healthcare environment.
