American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position requiring 2+ years of Neuro ICU or comprehensive stroke center experience and OH or compact RN licensure.

• Fast-paced Neuro ICU within a comprehensive stroke center treating neurological diseases and disorders including seizures and strokes
• Also treats overflow ICU patients from Medical Surgical ICU and Heart and Vascular ICU
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
• 13- or 18-week contract options available
• Epic EMR experience required
• Floating required at facility discretion, including to Main Campus (Dayton), South Campus (Centerville), and North Campus (Englewood)
• Travelers will be first to float at facility's discretion
• Must be available to work every other weekend and every other holiday

• Active OH RN license or compact license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; must be able to read and interpret strips
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU and/or comprehensive stroke center experience in a large hospital required
• Experience with IV therapy, central line care, PICC line management, and arterial line management
• Experience with ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, and ABG interpretation
• Experience with CVA/acute stroke management, EVD, ICP monitoring, and post-neurosurgery care
• Experience with continuous IV sedation and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred

• Provide critical care nursing to neurological and overflow ICU patients in a high-acuity setting
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius; local candidates are not accepted
• Previous PERM/PRN staff or prior agency employees not extended due to tenure must wait 6 months before applying as a traveler and obtain facility rehire approval
• Maximum of 14 days RTO allowed per contract; RTO must be requested with initial submittal and approval is at manager's discretion
• No RTO or schedule requests will be negotiated after an offer is made
• First-time travelers are not considered for this position
