Travel RN - Emergency Dept - Pediatric ED

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric ED RN with 2+ years of pediatric emergency experience and PALS certification for an evening shift assignment.

• Active and unrestricted RN license in Ohio or Compact license required
• BSN required
• CPR certification required
• PALS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric ED experience required
• At least one recent professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty required

• Pediatric Emergency Department setting within a children's hospital
• Evening shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 15:00 to 03:00
• Float expectations across all ED sites, including Main and the Mental Health Crisis Center at Mathile
• May be assigned to South ED based on staffing needs
• Rotates through the Mental Health Crisis Center as part of ED RN duties
• Floats to Specialty Pediatric Units (Med/Surg), PICU, NICU, or Transitional Care Unit when ED census is low, per cooperative staffing guidelines
• Responsible for 1-4 patients based on acuity and unit when floating
• Provides professional nursing care following ANA and Ohio Board of Nursing standards
• Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to support optimal patient and family outcomes
• Promotes a patient and family-centered care environment
• Navy scrubs or navy/black scrub pants required per facility dress code policy
• Smoke-free facility and campus
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Former permanent employees must wait at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
• Returning travelers must wait at least 1 year before being placed again
