American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric PACU/Pre Op position requiring PALS certification and recent PACU or Pre Op nursing experience.
Requirements- Active OH or compact RN license required
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- Current certifications: BLS and PALS
- Minimum of 2-3 years of recent Preoperative and/or PACU nursing experience required
- Pediatric Preoperative/PACU experience preferred
- Strong airway management, clinical assessment, and critical thinking skills required
- Experience with discharge teaching and interdisciplinary collaboration required
- Two references required for consideration
- Work in the Preoperative/PACU unit of a pediatric hospital
- Pediatric patient population
- Shift options include 4x10 hour day shifts (6:30 AM-5:00 PM) or Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM schedules
- Float required between Preoperative and PACU areas as patient care needs require
- Provide comprehensive preoperative and postanesthesia nursing care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support optimal patient and family outcomes
- Foster a patient- and family-centered care environment
- Navy scrub color required
- Former permanent employees must wait at least 6 months before being eligible for consideration
