Description:

Winter jobs available with 13-week contracts. Must be available to work a minimum of every other holiday. Patient ratios target is 1:7. The unit consists of 20-21 beds. Patients require less acute care, resembling a "nursing home" setting. No telemetry monitoring or blood products will be administered. No Bipap unless it is long-term care. Travel experience preferred. Travelers may be required to float to different units as necessary.

The staff model consists of RNs, LPNs, and PCTs working collaboratively. The goal is to improve workload efficiency and quality of patient care. This position involves caring for medically stable long-term patients. Barriers to discharge may include guardianship or insurance approvals. The unit operates with limited IV medications and weekly labs. Vital signs are monitored once per shift and assessments once a day.

Navy blue scrubs are required. Maximum of 14 days of requested time off allowed per contract. References are not required for the application.
