• Provide safety and security services for all individuals on campus.
• Investigate criminal acts on hospital property and assist surrounding agencies when requested.
• Patrol hospital buildings and grounds to protect life and property.
• Operate in a high‑volume, intense environment with approximately 60,000 dispatched calls per year, 4,000 violence patient calls, and 1,000 aggressive patient incidents annually.
• Collaborate with police officers and security specialists to maintain a fully functional law‑enforcement agency within a major metropolitan business environment.

• Minimum:
  High School completion / GED.
• Preferred:
  Associate’s Degree.

• Current and up‑to‑date Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy certificate required.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license required.
• Pass substance/drug test.
• Compliance with required immunizations and background investigation.

• 1–3 years of job‑related experience.

• Required training upon hire: OPOTA certified firearms qualification, TASER certification, active shooter response training, crisis intervention training (CIT), crisis prevention intervention (CPI), CPR/AED certification.

• Computer skills desirable.
• Ability to work under pressure with many interruptions while remaining calm and pleasant to the public and facility personnel.
