Special agents carry out investigations and protection duties, potentially at multiple locations across the U.S. and abroad.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing protection for various protectees.
• Conducting criminal investigations related to U.S. financial obligations.
• Planning and implementing security for National Special Security Events.

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to carry a firearm and maintain proficiency.
• Minimum age 21, less than 37 at conditional offer, with exceptions for prior federal service or veteran's preference.
• Obtain and retain a Top Secret Clearance.
• Visual acuity of 20/100 uncorrected, 20/20 corrected; hearing within specified limits.
• Pass drug tests and complete intensive training at FLETC and James J. Rowley Training Center.
• Willingness to accept assignments nationwide and abroad.
• Register with the Selective Service System if applicable.
