This individual will be responsible for all aspects of University's maintenance grounds equipment, including Facilities Management golf carts. Responsible for the repair and servicing of all grounds maintenance equipment, including golf carts, mowers, trucks, tractors, snow plows, blowers, sweepers, vacs and loaders. Responsible for maintaining inventory of all supplies, tools and parts needed for all equipment maintenance service work and repairs and maintain equipment maintenance records for servicing and repairs.
Responsible for the operation of some mechanized equipment assigned to the department when necessary. Performs labor-related duties as needed or required for essential operations and staff vacancies and all other duties as assigned by the Executive Director, Associate Director, and Hardscape & Equipment Manager.
- 10 plus years’ experience servicing and diagnosing small and heavy equipment in a commercial setting.
- 10 plus years’ experience operating trucks, loaders, heavy equipment, forklifts, and snow plows.
- Prior experience servicing commercial snow removal equipment, including plows, spreaders, loaders, brooms, and snow blowers.
- A valid driver’s license with fewer than 6 points.
- 10 plus years’ experience in commercial grounds maintenance.
- 10 plus years’ experience ordering parts and maintaining inventory of supplies, tools and parts and equipment maintenance records for servicing and repairs on equipment.
- Prior stick and MIG welding experience.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Small engine repair certification or diagnostics training.
