Service Advisor

The Service Advisor sells and schedules needed service work on commercial trucks and equipment for the dealership service department.

• Gather customer complaint details and expectations.
• Perform vehicle walk-around inspection, verify vehicle information.
• Connect to J-Pro for on-the-spot vehicle diagnostics, print reports, and review service history.
• Advise customers on vehicle care and maintenance according to manufacturer’s specifications.
• Accurately document vehicle problems, verify customer information, and obtain signatures.
• Establish promised time based on shop workflow and communicate with the foreman.
• Determine customer’s payment method and obtain credit approval if necessary.
• Create repair orders and secure customer signatures.
• Monitor repair progress, communicate with customers about changes, costs, and time estimates, and obtain approvals for additional repairs.

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of service experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Manufacturer training.
• Valid CDL license and insurable driving record.

Pay Rate: $40,000 - $45,000 per year.
