Job Title: Industrial Electrician

Summary: Chapel Electric is looking for an Industrial Electrician with an ISA Instrumentation Certification. This position pays $37.25/hr and includes paid health insurance (at no cost to you) and paid pension and annuity.
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Test electrical systems or the continuity of circuits using devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety.
- Use a variety of tools or equipment, including power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, ammeters, or test lamps.
- Repair and install electrical devices such as receptacles, light fixtures, light switches, lighting ballast, motors, etc.
- Assist in keeping building common and electrical spaces neat, orderly, and safe.
- Accomplish work according to blueprints, specifications, and national/local codes; update as‑built drawings as necessary.
- Attend Toolbox safety meetings and demonstrate safety competency, including harassment prevention and ethics.
- Obtain an OSHA 10 General Industry Safety and Health standards certification.
- Extended hours or weekend overtime may be available.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Previous electrical experience required.
- ISA Instrumentation Certification required.
- Valid driver’s license.
Must effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of customers and employees.
Physical RequirementsThe employee must regularly walk, use fingers and hands, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear, taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to stand and occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds, move heavy objects, climb vertical ladders, work at heights, and use common hand and power tools.
Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee will commute to field locations and job sites.
Work may be performed outdoors, exposed to wet/moist conditions, moving mechanical and electrical parts, high or precarious places, dust, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outdoor weather conditions. Risks include electrical shock and vibration. Noise levels are usually moderate to loud.
