Field Service Technician

Nidec Minster Corporation, the largest manufacturer of material forming presses in the United States, has an immediate opening for a Field Service Technician . This person will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance to assist customers with their Minster supplied equipment, supervising / instructing personnel in setting up equipment in customer plants, and training customer's personnel on proper maintenance and operation of Minster equipment.

• Perform on-site troubleshooting, repair, maintenance installation & commissioning of Nidec Minster stamping presses and coil line systems. Occasional work on non-Minster equipment as well
• Commission new and remanufactured metal forming equipment in customer's plants
• Audit customer's metal forming equipment and report all repair requirements found
• Provide written and oral reports in English in an accurate and professional manner
• Promote service parts and preventative maintenance contracts
• Work flexible hours to support customer service needs including any portion of a 24-hour day 7 days a week

• Company provided service vehicle, specialty tools, telephone, and laptop
• $75 daily per diem for domestic travel, $95 daily per diem for international travel; paid out weekly

• Salary range $80k-$90k with opportunities for additional $10k-$40k in compensation
• Ability to keep accumulated travel points for personal use
• 4 weeks paid time off eligibility immediately upon hire
• Guaranteed 45 hours / week

• Knowledge of electrical / electronic troubleshooting and installation techniques
• Capable of performing mechanical press repair or mechanical knowledge of machinery found in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
• Represent Nidec Minster Corporation effectively in business and social situations as may be required
• Able to work effectively with minimum supervision
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Extensive domestic and international travel is required- 90%
