As an A&P Mechanic I, you will support senior mechanics by assisting with the maintenance, repair, and inspections of aircraft. This entry-level position focuses on learning and executing routine maintenance tasks under supervision, ensuring compliance with aviation standards.

** Responsibilities:
*** Assist in performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
* Shadow experienced mechanics during inspections and repairs.
* Document maintenance activities under supervision.
* Conduct routine checks on aircraft components.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area.
* Adhere to safety regulations and procedures.
* Participate in training and development programs.  
** Qualifications You Must Have:
*** High school diploma or equivalent.
* 0-1 years of relevant experience.
* Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification with no prior FAA violations.
* Must pass, written, oral and practical assessments.
* Must have reliable transportation to and from work locations.
* Familiarity with applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.
* Must have own tools in good working order.
* Pass and maintain Class 3 Physical requirements, including a hearing test.  
** Qualifications We Prefer:
*** Associate's degree in Aviation Maintenance or related field.
* Familiarity with common aircraft models.
* Basic problem-solving skills.
* FAA repair station and/or Quality Assurance experience.
* Able to travel on a regular basis and/or work different shifts including overtime and weekends.
* Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (FAR/DFARS).
* Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.

*** Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the work shift.
* Hand and finger dexterity to work with small mechanical components and tools.
* Ability to work in a noisy environment with potential exposure to hazardous materials.
