HVAC Systems Installer — Commercial Projects

Ace Hardware Home Services—powered locally by Detmer Mechanical—brings the Ace tradition of helpfulness into homes and facilities with services spanning HVAC, plumbing, electrical, handyman, and painting. We’re expanding and looking for an HVAC Systems Installer focused on commercial work.

Own end-to-end installation of mechanical systems that ensure comfort and reliability. You’ll assemble HVAC equipment, design and place duct and piping, and complete generator installs with gas line hookups—delivering quality workmanship and great customer experiences without the need for constant supervision.

• Install generators and related equipment, including gas lines, in commercial and residential environments.
• Assemble and install heating and cooling units to spec.
• Design, route, and install ductwork and piping for HVAC systems.
• Document labor, materials, and progress with accurate logs.
• Represent our helpful brand with professional, respectful customer interactions.
• Support special initiatives and perform additional tasks as assigned.

• 5 years of commercial HVAC experience (preferred).
• Experience with ductwork, piping, oil systems, geothermal, and airflow (preferred).
• EPA Universal Certification (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and a clean MVR.
• Commitment to quality, integrity, and continuous improvement.
• Strong pace and composure under pressure.
• Positive team contributor; dependable and consistent.

• Lift 50 lbs and safely handle HVAC components.
• Stand, kneel, crawl, and climb ladders for extended periods.
• Work outdoors in varying temperatures.
• Hear and speak clearly to communicate essential information.
